Itinerary

1. Baelo Claudia (arqueological complex)

Our historical immersion begins in the bay of Bolonia (Cádiz), an archaeological site of exceptional importance founded in the 2nd century BC.

It is widely known as the "Pompeii of Spain" because it is the best-preserved Roman city on the entire Iberian Peninsula.

Baelo Claudia originated as a strategic enclave for trade with North Africa and the fish-salting industry (Garum).

As we walk along its cobbled streets, the excellent preservation of its monuments, such as the Temple of Isis and the statue of Trajan, allows us to understand Roman urban planning without diminishing the visitor's sense of wonder.

2. Baelo Claudia (costal panoramic voyage)

We continue east, where the landscape offers a unique spectacle. From the bus, we'll admire the pristine beaches with their white sand and turquoise waters.

In this area, the terrain slopes gently down to the shore, creating the perfect setting for wind sports enthusiasts.

The proximity of Africa, visible on clear days, adds a touch of magic to this coastal journey.

3. Tarifa & free time

Finally, we arrive in Tarifa, a city with an unparalleled soul. Its old town, encircled by medieval walls, retains an air of authenticity where whitewashed houses contrast with the deep blue of the sea. It's the perfect spot to witness the meeting of the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. Strolling through its squares is to experience the vibrant pulse of a city that has reinvented itself from its fishing roots to a bohemian sophistication, without sacrificing its traditional character.

You'll also have time for lunch. The area around Calle Guzmán el Bueno is a gastronomic paradise if you're looking for almadraba bluefin tuna or fusion cuisine. And don't miss the shops on Calle Batalla del Salado, where international surf brands mingle with local leather crafts and artisanal fashion.
