Itinerary

1. Plaza de España

Created for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition, it is a masterpiece of Andalusian regionalism designed by Aníbal González. Its imposing semicircular shape symbolizes a fraternal embrace to Ibero-America.

Famous for its 48 tiled benches representing Spanish provinces. It has been an international film set for movies like Star Wars and Lawrence of Arabia.

Offers a unique experience: walking through the monumental building or rowing a boat along its canal. Located in Maria Luisa Park, it is essential for admiring Seville's history and art.

2. Murillo Gardens

Former orchard of the Royal Alcázar, they are an essential oasis in Seville located next to the Old Town Santa Cruz. Its current 1917 design is a tribute to the painter Bartolomé Esteban Murillo.

Characterized by its formal structure with symmetrical walks, pergolas, fountains, and vegetation of palm and orange trees. The beautiful Murillo Gazebo decorated with tiles stands out.

Visiting these gardens is to enjoy a haven of peace with history. They are the ideal place for a quiet stroll while exploring the historic center of Seville.

3. Old Town Santa Cruz

The essence of Sevillian charm is the Old Town Santa Cruz, Seville's old Jewish quarter and the city's most emblematic area. Visiting it means immersing yourself in history, getting lost in a labyrinth of narrow, winding streets dating back to the Middle Ages.

Its charm lies in its whitewashed houses, with interior courtyards full of flowers, geraniums, and bougainvillea, offering a delightful contrast of color and scent. Here you will find local craft shops and small historical squares like Doña Elvira.

It is a perfect place to discover Andalusian tradition and gastronomy in its tapas bars. It is Seville's most authentic postcard, offering an unforgettable walk right next to the Cathedral and the Alcázar.

4. Historic Center

The journey through history will continue with a visit to the Historic Center of Seville, one of the largest in Europe and a treasure declared a World Heritage Site. Walking through it is witnessing centuries of history where Christian, Jewish, and Muslim cultures merge. Here you will find its three monumental icons: the majestic Cathedral (with the Giralda), the imposing Real Alcázar, and the historic Archive of the Indies.

The center offers the full Sevillian experience: grand monuments, vibrant architecture with cool narrow streets that constantly lead to the atmosphere of current Andalusian life. The flamenco tradition and unparalleled gastronomy in every corner complete this unique visit.

Seville's Mudejar jewel is the Real Alcázar. The oldest royal palace in use in Europe, declared a World Heritage Site. It offers dazzling architecture with the richly decorated Ambassadors' Hall.

The Palace of Peter I stands out, a masterpiece of Mudejar art with exquisite arches, plasterwork, and tiles. The Courtyard of the Maidens is the most photographed part and its monumental heart.

Its Gardens are an oasis of peace with fountains, ponds, and plant labyrinths. A must-visit that fuses royal majesty with botanical beauty.

6. Cathedral

Seville Cathedral, the Gothic cathedral with the largest surface area in the world, was built over the ancient mosque. It houses treasures like the largest altarpiece in Christendom and Christopher Columbus's Mausoleum.

Its bell tower is the emblematic Giralda, the former Almohad minaret standing 104 meters tall. A visit offers the best views of the city.

The complex is completed with the serene Orange Tree Courtyard, a vestige of its Islamic past. Visiting it is to delve into history, faith, and Seville's most sublime art.
